Creating your account

Signing up takes under a minute. This guide walks you through it, explains what we do with your info, and shows what happens right after you register.

Step by step

1. Open the registration page — click "Sign up" in the top-right of any page, or go to /register directly.
2. Pick your role — Mentee (I want to learn) or Mentor (I want to teach). This affects what your dashboard looks like afterwards.
3. Enter your name, email, and a password. Use an email you check regularly — it's where every booking confirmation and purchase receipt lands.
4. Accept the agreement. Required to register. The terms are linked on the form; give them at least a skim.
5. Complete the reCAPTCHA if shown. This is an anti-spam check — no action needed if you're human.
6. Click "Create account". You'll be logged in immediately.

Verify your email

We send a verification link within seconds of signup. Check your inbox (and spam folder) and click the link. Some platform features — messaging mentors, leaving reviews, cashing out payouts — may be unavailable until you verify.

Didn't get the email? Check spam and promotions folders. If it's not there after 10 minutes, go to your profile and click "Resend verification email". Still nothing? Open a support ticket with the email address you used.

What happens after you register

• Mentees land on their "My Courses" dashboard. It's empty at first — fill it by enrolling in a course or booking a session.
• Mentors land on the mentor dashboard with prompts to finish the onboarding (profile photo, expertise, payout setup).

Password rules

Your password must be at least 8 characters. We don't enforce character-class rules (mixed case, symbols) because length is a better signal than complexity. Use a password manager — it's the single biggest upgrade to your online security.

Can I change my role later?

Mentee → Mentor: yes, apply from your account settings. A lightweight review follows (usually same day).

Mentor → Mentee: unusual but possible; contact support if you want to close your mentor side while keeping your purchase history.
